General Flumgummerie: hijinks, tomfoolery, hullaballoo, capering, antics, buffoonery, skylarking… you get the point aye?

We serve hearty dishes that celebrate seasonal Scottish produce from open kitchens alongside whisky, wine and top-notch beer. We like our music loud, our guests to come together and share dishes at big communal tables and for it all to go down in weird and wonderful locations where you might not usually expect to have dinner. 

That’s what we’re all about.

 

Previous Projects

Here's how it usually works:

  1. We set up a restaurant in an unexpected location.
  2. We create a multiple course, seasonal menu for the project. 
  3. You buy tickets online (letting us know if you need to sit next to anyone else on the night).
  4. You arrive and kick things off with a welcome cocktail.
  5. You eat and hang out with private party vibes and a well-stocked bar.

PRIVATE CATERING

Intimate dinners in whisky distilleries, large-scale canapé events, street food, weddings, booze pairing workshops... we've done all that.

Whether you need us to source the venue for you or you have one in mind already, we specialise in setting up a restaurant pretty much anywhere and have a range of menus to suit any event. We'll even come over to yours if you want. 

We'll work with you to create a tailored food and drinks menu for your event and can help dress any space to make sure the vibes are spot on too.

FAQ

We get asked these things loads. If it ain't answered here don't hesitate to get in touch.

  • Do you do private events/catering?
    • Sure do. Weddings, product launches, workshops, canapés... we've done all that. Check out more info here.
       
  • Do you only do Scottish food?
    • Make no bones about it, we're a Scottish outfit and our food reflects that at our pop-up projects. But, when it comes to private catering and other one-off projects, we can dial that up or down as necessary. From deep-fried Mars Bars at one end of the spectrum to just a simple focus on amazing Scottish produce at the other.
       
  • My friends booked separately, can we still sit together?
    • Sure can. We do a table plan every night and will always do our utmost to get you sat with your pals provided you drop us a line before the event to let us know.
       
  • Is there a dress code?
    • Nope.
       
  • Do you cater for veggies/allergies/other dietary requirements?
    • Yup. Just drop us a line 48hrs or more before the event and we've got you covered.
       
  • Do you only do events in London?
    • Whilst the majority of our big pop-ups are in London we have done lots of events in Scotland and elsewhere.
